TERMS & CONDITIONS
We cannot stress enough, please read our Terms of Business and Conditions of Hire before hiring our products. When hiring our products customers automatically enter into the Terms of Business and Conditions of Hire agreement when receiving our products when hired. Please read all of our T’s & C’s before hiring.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS HIRE

 

General

The ‘Company’ is Mi Amor Wedding & Event Decor Specialists. Trading as Mi Amor. The ‘Hirer’ is any person or company who hires or has agreed to hire Goods from the Company. ‘Goods or equipment’ means goods provided by the Company in accordance with the Company’s standard Terms and Conditions of hire.

Acceptance Of Conditions

The customer’s acceptance of goods on hire implies acceptance by signing and agreeing to our Conditions of Hire as given below.Retention Title and Ownership

All goods remain the absolute property of the company and the customer undertakes not to sell, offer to sell, assign charge, pledge or underlet, lend or otherwise deal with the products unless agreed otherwise with the company.

Changes To An Order

You can make changes to your order up to the point of 1 week in advance of the event. Significant changes to an order may change the quote you originally obtained. Items can be added on as long as they are in stock at any point.

 

Payment

The full balance of hire inclusive of delivery and collection charges must be paid 6 weeks before the booking. If the required delivery date is within 4 weeks of placing your order, full payment is required. The preferred method of payment is bank transfer by credit or debit card. Credit cards incur a 2% surcharge. We are also happy to take payments over the telephone. 

If the balance payment is not received, we reserve the right to withdraw our acceptance of your order. No delivery will be made without receipt of the full invoiced balance.

Important:

 

  • No refunds or credits will be issued for any items returned unused.

  • All goods hired require a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to secure the order.

Cancellation Of Your Booking

If you have a booking already to hire our products and need to cancel your booking. Please be aware if you wish to cancel your booking more than 6 weeks before your event (when final balance should have been paid), then there will be no cancellation fee when cancelling your booking. As previously mentioned above, the 25% deposit is non refundable.

Important: If however your cancellation request falls within the 6 week period, prior to your event (after final balance has been paid), then only 50% of your invoice will be refundable.

Postponing Your Booking

If you have a booking to hire our our products, but the booking date needs amending, no charge will be incurred as long as the new date is available. 

Delivery & Collection

Deliveries and collections will be made in person by a Mi Amor representative using our own fully serviced vehicles. In some instances items can be collected from our premises by prior arrangement. 

Delivery and collection charges are quoted on an individual basis, based on the location postcode.

Please be aware the goods remain your responsibility until they have been collected by Mi Amor. You should therefore make every effort to ensure goods are kept dry and are retained in a secure place until this time. For dry hiring, all goods must be stacked and re-packed together ready for collection. 

Mi Amor is not responsible for gathering hired goods and any additional work/delay incurred as a result of an order which has not been pre-packed for collection will be chargeable at an hourly rate of £15.00 +VAT per person who is scheduled to collect the goods. Goods not available for collection on the agreed date and time will incur an additional fee plus a 25% of the listed hire price per item per day.

Damaged Goods

If anything were damaged or missing from an event we will charge the replacement cost of the item damaged or missing after 5 days by sending you an invoice which will detail the costs. The charge will be the cost of replacing the equipment with new stock. For a full list of prices please contact us. The hirer acknowledges that Mi Amor is entitled to charge any client who has damaged or failed to return an item. We strongly recommend that you check back all the hired goods along with us when we come to collect, as after this our decision is final.

Discrepancies

Any discrepancies with an order must be notified within 7 days after the event. Any discrepancies that are not notified during this period will be exempt from any credit/refund.

Privacy

Mi Amor treats any personal information you provide in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act of 1998 and will only use the information you supply via this website to contact you in connection with services provided and/or to respond to requests you have made to provide any desired information.

Use of Mi Amor website does not require you to disclose any personal information unless you make an enquiry or contact us directly via email. Mi Amor does not sell, trade or rent your information to third parties.

Law

This contract shall be governed by English Law in the Courts of England.

PRIVACY
Due to privacy laws changing in the UK and around Europe we also urge all customers to read and fully understand our privacy laws when handling you personal data. When customers see the privacy widget asking them to accept cookies, they will automatically be agreeing to the new privacy laws stated in the link below.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

 

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

 

Contact Forms

When a customer fills out a enquiry form we will collect customer data in the form of full name, email address, Telephone Number (optional), Full Address/Postcode or both, Date & Time of Event and The products they are hiring. This information will be kept and used right up until the day of the event. After the event has finished all customer information will stay on file in an invoice format including all of the their full name, email address, telephone number, location and postcode, the hire products and delivery costs in an invoice format. This will be used by us at the end of each tax year and given to our company accountant. All of which will be kept private and is only used as reference for business for a full year, until this is finalised all documents will be filed away safely.

 

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Analytics

Our analytical data is collected using script provided by Google Adwords. This is used to collect data on how many clicks we get per page. Each enquiry form has a unique script, that allows us to capture data and see how many leads we generate each month and through which product. The data captured is used for analytical purposes only.

 

Who We Share Your Data With

The data we collect will only be shared with our sales team or the company accountant at the end of the year in an invoice format.

 

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How We Protect Your Data

We protect your data using encryption when you send personal details to us such as the enquiry form (as mentioned above). A company called Wolf Server provides all of the security when emails are being sent in the form of an enquiry form. They have firewalls and various other security to protect information being sent to us via the enquiry form. Payment is made by BACS, which this information is located at the bottom of every emailed invoice you receive by us. So any problems to do with payments by a customer is to be dealt with the customers bank and not us.

 

What Data Breach Procedures We Have In Place

Any bugs or breaches will be reported by our hosting provider TSO Host. Any viruses, threats, breaches or bugs will be captured by them and they shut the website and all facilities down straight away until the virus, bug, threat or breach has been resolved.

 

What Third Parties We Receive Data From

No third parties will receive data from us concerning personal details or bank details.

 

What Automated Decision Making &/or Profiling We Do With User Data

There are no automated decisions on this website.

 

Industry Regulatory Disclosure Requirements

We are not subject to any additional privacy laws.
